Turkey will receive first of its Peace Eagle Boeing 737 AEW&C Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircraft by the end of 2012. Remaining 3 building Peace Eagle Boeing 737 AEW&C will be delivered to the Turkish Air Force in 2013 under multibillion-dollar deal.
Turkey placed order for the Boeing 737 AEW&C Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircrafts under project Peace Eagle. Turkey requested to purchase four 737 AEW&C systems with options on another 2 systems in May 2002. United States approved the sale in September 2003 and first aircraft was to be delivered by 2010.
