Turkish undersecretary for the defence industry, Murad Bayar has said that Turkish shipyards have made
tremendous progress on the maritime front and country is fully capable of producing a aircraft carrier for its needs.
He said that turkey will require new destroyers, submarine, helicopters along with fighter jets capable of landing and take off from the aircraft carrier before it can own a aircraft carrier. He said that aircraft carrier requires 1000 to 5000 personal depending upon its size.
