Liam Fox: British Army Will Be Cut Further After Afghanistan Mission -- The Telegraph
The British Army will face cuts in its resources as the mission in Afghanistan comes to an end, Liam Fox has said.
The Defence Secretary also warned of more cuts in the coming years, saying there is “still more to be done” to balance the Ministry of Defence budget.
Defending reductions in the Armed Forces, Dr Fox said that it was necessary to reduce the Government's deficit because “strong economy is a national security requirement.”
David Cameron this week confirmed that more than 400 British troops will leave Afghanistan, beginning the British withdrawal from the country.
