South Korea Marks 2nd Anniversary of Yeonpyeong Attack -- Wall Street Journal
South Korea marked the second anniversary of North Korea’s attack on Yeonpyeong Island with memorial services in Seoul and at a military base for the two soldiers and two civilians who were killed.
The attack was the first by North Korea against South Korean territory since the Korean War of the 1950s.
Friday’s anniversary got far less attention than last year, when reporters flocked to the island – and when government officials tried to finish rebuilding several dozen homes that were destroyed in the attack.
