Royal Marine Commandos During Green Ops Exercise

The United Kingdom's Royal Marine Commandos took part in the Green Ops exercise which was conducted in the Woodbury Common and Tregantle Ranges in Devon. The United Kingdom's Royal Marine Commandos had participated in the Operation Herrick in Afghanistan and 15 soldiers were killed in action during the operation .
The United Kingdom's Royal Marine Commandos have also served in the Operation Veritas in Afghanistan, 2001 and 2002, and Operation Telic during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Russian Tupolev Tu-160 Blackjack Supersonic Strategic Bomber

The Tupolev Tu-160 Blackjack supersonic strategic bomber flew for the first time December 1981 and became operational with the Russian Air Force in April 1987. A total of 35 bomber were produced including 3 prototypes. The Russian Air Force started receiving upgraded version of the bomber in 2006.
Two Tu-160 Blackjack Supersonic Strategic Bombers flew a record-breaking training mission which lasted 23hours and covered distance of over  18,000 kilometres. Tu-160 can achieve maximum speed of Mach 2.05 (2,220 kilometres per hour) and have a range of 12,300 km without in-flight refuelling.

Russian AESA Radar For T-50 PAK FA (FGFA) Fighter Jet

Russian Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar for the T-50 PAK FA (Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft-FGFA) fifth generation fighter jet. Both Russian Air Force and Indian air Force has committed to purchase around 500 of these advance aircraft.
Russian radar developer Tikhomirov's NIIP has caimed that X-band radar antenna contains over 1,000 solid transmit/receive modules. Russian plans to use 5 prototypes of PAK FA and initial batch of the fighter jet for second phase of testing will be produced by 2015.

Third prototype of the Russian T-50 PAK FA Joins Test Program

Third prototype of the Russian T-50 PAK FA (Prospective Airborne Complex of Frontline Aviation) fifth generation fighter aircraft performed its first flight on November 22, 2011. The first prototype flew on 29 January 2010 while 2nd prototype joined the test program in March 2011.
Test pilot Sergey Bogdan flew the 3rd prototype of the T-50 PAK FA fighter jet and remained air for about an hour before landing at the KnAAPO runway.

German Luftwaffe Test Fires Taurus KEPD 350 Air Launched Cruise Missile

 German Luftwaffe's Panavia Tornado fighter attack aircraft has successfully test fired TAURUS KEPD 350 air-launched cruise missile. The Williams P8300-15 turbofan  powers the Taurus KEPD 350 air launched cruise missile which has a range of over 500 km and has a maximum speed of 0.8~0.9 Mach. 
The 1400 kg air launched cruise missile can carry a warhead of 500kgs to destroy its targets with pinpoint accuracy achieved through the combination of Inertial Navigation System, Global Positioning System and Image Based Navigation.

The Taurus KEPD 350 can be carried by the Tornado, Eurofighter Typhoon, Gripen and F/A-18 fighter jets.

RACR AESA Offered For South Korean F-16 Radar Upgrade

Raytheon Company  is responding to the Republic of Korea's official launch of the F-16 radar upgrade competition with the Raytheon Advanced Combat Radar system (RACR).

RACR employs active electronically scanned array (AESA) technology, which Raytheon pioneered for the U.S. Air Force's F-15C and fielded in December 2000. RACR incorporates the latest developments in AESA radar, in a design specifically suited for smaller aircraft such as the F-16.

Iraqi Air Force To Purchase 18 F-16C/D Block 52 Fighting Falcons

During a press conference Nov. 8 the commander of the Iraqi air force said Iraq's purchase of 18 F-16C Fighting Falcons, for their future air defense, will encourage and strengthen the strategic partnership between the U.S. and Iraq.

In September, through the Foreign Military Sales program, the government of Iraq made its first payment for 18 F-16C Block 52 fighter aircraft. With this F-16 package, Iraq purchased logistical support as well as pilot and maintenance training. When the aircraft are delivered, most likely sometime in late 2014 or 2015, Iraq will have the most advanced multi-role fighter aircraft in the world.

UAE's United-40 Tandem Wing Armed Drone

The Adcom Systems, a firm from the United Arab Emirates has displayed the innovative United 40 unmanned air vehicle which uses  tandem-wing layout. This  new UAV has  a S-shaped fuselage and its design was developed after research and development for over 4 years. 

UAE's 30kg Namrod is a GPS/inertial/IR terminal guidance missile which is powered by a  small jet engine with maximum speed of 1000 kilometres per hours and a range of 60 kilometres .
The  United-40's wings will provide high lift with wing span of 57 feet 6 inches and the lifting area of the wing is 262 sq ft.
United-40 Tandem Wing Armed Drone can have takeoff/landing speed of just 33 mph  and it can achieve altitude of 23,000 feet. Maximum takeoff weight is around 1000 kg.

The Indonesian government has requested for the regeneration and upgrade of 24 F-16C/D Block 25 fighter jets at an estimated price of $750 million.

The sale package will include following:

24 F-16C/D Block 25 fighter jets
28 F100-PW-200 or F100-PW-220E as Excess Defense Articles.
LAU-129A/A Launchers,
ALR-69 Radar Warning Receivers,
ARC-164/186 Radios,
Expanded Enhanced Fire Control (EEFC)
ALQ-213 Electronic Warfare Management Systems,
ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispenser Systems,
AN/AAQ-33 SNIPER or AN/AAQ-28 LITENING Targeting Systems.

Malaysia for 20 AIM-9X Block II Missiles

The Malaysian government has requested the purchase of 20 AIM-9X-2 SIDEWINDER Block II which wil cost around $52 million.

The Malaysian SIDEWINDER  deal include following 

20 AIM-9X-2 SIDEWINDER Block II All-Up-Round Missiles,
8 CATM-9X-2 Captive Air Training Missiles,
4 CATM-9X-2 Block II Missile Guidance Units,
2 AIM-9X-2 Block II Tactical Guidance Units,
2 Dummy Air Training Missiles

CZ 805 Bren Ceska Zbrojovka Assault Rifle

The CZ 805 Bren assault rifle was first is available in two versions. The first version is CZ 805 BREN A1 has barrel length of 360 mm while carbine version is called CZ 805 BREN A2 and it has a shorter barrel length of 277 mm.

Czech Republic Minister of Defence Alexandr Vondra checks the CZ 805 Bren Ceska Zbrojovka Assault Rifle.
The CZ 805 Bren assault rifle  uses 5.56x45 mm NATO cartridge but its modular design allows it to change barrels for different calibre including 7.62x39 mm and 6.8x43 mm.

The  CZ 805 can be equipped with a folding mechanical sight and it has range of 400m to 500m depending upon the length of the barrel.
