My Comment: President Obama does not want to talk about it because he knows that his base has been wanting him to withdraw from Afghanistan for years .... why remind his supporters that they are still there. Romney avoids the issue because he knows that most of the independents that he needs to vote for him are "fed-up" with Afghanistan, and why remind them that he wants to continue having a US presence in Afghanistan for the next few years. As for the media, anti-war protestors, pundits, etc.., they are completely awol on this story .... so both parties are now calculating that it would be best to avoid the story.
