WASHINGTON —The United States recently stepped up pressure on the regime of Moammar Gadhafi with drone strikes and a decision to send non-lethal supplies to rebels. But critics say these are only incremental steps that won’t turn the tide.
“We’re in great risk of a stalemate,” said Sen. John McCain, a leading Republican voice on national security issues and critic of President Obama’s Libya policy. “I think we need to do a great deal more in order to bring it to a successful conclusion.”
