Assault On Abidjan: Freedom Fighters Overrun Ivory Coast's Seat Of Power As Rebels Sleep In President Gbagbo's Bed -- The Daily Mail
Rebels fighting to install Ivory Coast's democratically elected leader overran its largest city Abidjan and even slept in the bed of ruling President Laurent Gbagbo.
Forces backing Alassane Ouattara have taken nearly 80 per cent of the country as Gbagbo's soldiers fled and towns fell in quick succession on the way to the country's seat of power.
The rebels are now poised for a final push to unseat the entrenched ruler, who refused to step down after a decade in power when he lost an election in November.
