China's Economy To Surpass The U.S. In 2016?

BOSTON (MarketWatch) — The International Monetary Fund has just dropped a bombshell, and nobody noticed.

For the first time, the international organization has set a date for the moment when the “Age of America” will end and the U.S. economy will be overtaken by that of China.

And it’s a lot closer than you may think.

According to the latest IMF official forecasts, China’s economy will surpass that of America in real terms in 2016 — just five years from now.

My Comment: In this report, the IMF is also making the prediction that the U.S. will also be experiencing significant growth .... a prediction that I am very skeptical with. But even with hic-ups along the way, the future trends are obvious .... China will be the number one economy in the world. But once this happens, I will also predict that it will only be a matter of time (one or two decades away), before China's military will equal (or surpass) the American levels .... and on that day we will be living in a world that is not as stable as the one that we in the West have grown accustomed to.
