Clinton Calls on Russia to Support Missile Shield -- Global Security Newswire
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today called on Russia to drop its opposition to plans for a European missile shield, the Associated Press reported (see GSN, Jan. 26).
"We are serious about exploring ways to cooperate with Russia to develop missile defenses that enhance the security of all of Europe, including Russia," Clinton said in a speech in Paris. She also urged Moscow to collaborate with the United States and NATO against terrorism and other shared dangers.

My Comment: I guess Sec. of State Clinton has decided that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was not serious when he said .... Russia not ready to set up missile defense shield together with U.S.
On this issue I know that I am right .... the Russians have zero interest to participate and/or support any US Missile Defense program.
But even with this backdrop .... Sec. of State Clinton is still going to try and work with Russia on improving European security.
