South Korea To Purchase 177 AGM-158 JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile)
The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROK Air Force) is interested in the purchase of 177 AGM-158 JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) at cost of $343 million) for its F-15K Slam Eagle and KF-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets.
American JASSM is the preferred option of the ROCK Air Force to meet their requirement of low observable standoff cruise missile for the fighter jets. South Korean officials has indicated that they are also looking at the Germen Taurus KEPD 350 air-launched cruise missile as possible alternative if United States continues to delay the export licence of the JASSM.

RACR AESA Offered For South Korean F-16 Radar Upgrade
Raytheon Company is responding to the Republic of Korea's official launch of the F-16 radar upgrade competition with the Raytheon Advanced Combat Radar system (RACR).
RACR employs active electronically scanned array (AESA) technology, which Raytheon pioneered for the U.S. Air Force's F-15C and fielded in December 2000. RACR incorporates the latest developments in AESA radar, in a design specifically suited for smaller aircraft such as the F-16.

Rregeneration and Upgrade of 24 F-16C/D Block 25 Aircraft: Indonesia
The Indonesian government has requested for the regeneration and upgrade of 24 F-16C/D Block 25 fighter jets at an estimated price of $750 million.
The sale package will include following:
24 F-16C/D Block 25 fighter jets
28 F100-PW-200 or F100-PW-220E as Excess Defense Articles.

ALR-69 Radar Warning Receivers,
ARC-164/186 Radios,
Expanded Enhanced Fire Control (EEFC)
ALQ-213 Electronic Warfare Management Systems,
ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispenser Systems,

USAF F-16 Ready To Takeoff at Night
The F-16C Fighting Falcon United States Air Force (USAF) ready to take off at a moment's notice to support the US & NATO soldier in fight against the Taliban militants. This F-16C belongs to the 177th Fighter Wing which is currently deployed at the 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) southeast of Charikar in Parwan province of Afghanistan.

United States Air Force To Upgrade Over 300 F-16 C/D Fighter Jets
The United States Air Force is planing to upgrade 300 to 350 F-16C/D Block 40 Night Falcons and F-16C/D Block 50 Falcons fighter jets with new avionics and increased airframe life.
This was stated by the United States Air Force deputy chief for operations, Lieutenant General Herbert J. "Hawk" Carlisle while testifying.

Egyptian Air Force Orders Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP)
Egyptian Air Force (EAF) has confirmed the purchase of Lockheed Martin’s Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) to equip its F-16 aircraft purchased under the Peace Vector program.
Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) offers precision targeting and non-traditional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (NTISR) in a single lightweight system.
Egyptian Air Force is already using LANTIRN targeting pods with its F-16 fighter jets.
Pakistan Orders AIDEWS Electronic Countermeasure System for Its F-16s
Pakistan Air Force has ordered Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare System (AIDEWS) for the Pakistani Air Force F-16 C/D Block 52M and F-16 AM/BM.

Taiwan's F-16 Mid Life Update Package Includes AESA Radar
Defense Security Cooperation Agency of the United States has notified the US Congress about the possible Foreign Military Sale to the Taiwan for upgradation of F-16A/B aircraft at an estimated cost of $5.3 billion.
Taiwan has requested the US government to provide the following equipment for the Mid Life Update of 145 F-16A/B block 20 of the Republic of China Air Force.
Mid Life Update Package will include following:
176 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars
176 Embedded Global Positioning System Inertial Navigation Systems
176 ALQ-213 Electronic Warfare Management systems
82 ALQ-184 Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) pods with Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM)
or AN/ALQ-211(V)9 Airborne Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare Suites (AIDEWS) with DRFM
or AN/ALQ-131 pods with DRFM)
86 tactical data link terminals

US to Decide on Sale of 66 F-16 C/D Block 52+ to Taiwan
United States’ Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has confirmed that US will decide about the sale of new F-16 C/D Block 52+ fighter aircrafts to Taiwan by Oct. 1 this year. Taiwan has been making repeated requests for the purchase of new F-16 fighter jets to increase its defenses against the growing PLAAF.
United State has declined Taiwan's letter of request (LOR) for 66 F-16C/D block 52+ fighter aircrafts at cost of over $8 billion many times in the past few years because of the fear of strong Chinese reaction to such sale.

United States Rejects Taiwan's Request for 66 F-16C/D Fighter Jets
United States has once again rejected the Taiwan's request to sell additional F-16s. United States State Department has blocked the latest petition by the Taiwan to submit a letter of request (LoR) for 66 F-16C/D Block 50/52+ fighter aircrafts.
United States had earlier blocked three such attempts by the Taiwan for the purchase of 66 F-16C/D Block 50/52+ and upgrade of the 146 F-16A/B Block 20 fighters aircraft.

US may Offer F-35 to Indian Air Force
United States may offer its latest fifth generation F-35 stealth fighter jet to the Indian air force. Lockheed is trying to reenter into the MMRCA fighter jet competition after its offer to sell F-16IN Block 70 was rejected by the Indians.
United States Senate Armed Services Committee has asked the US Defense Department to conduct feasibility of selling F-35 JSF (joint strike fighter) to the Indian air force.
