A former astronaut banished from NASA after she attacked a romantic rival has been kicked out of the Navy.

Top Navy brass said Thursday that Lisa Nowak will be forced to retire with an 'other than honorable' discharge.

She was accused of confronting a woman at the Orlando airport in 2007 and attacking her in a darkened parking lot over an alleged love triangle with a former Shuttle pilot.

Nowak had driven 1,000 miles from Houston to confront Air Force Capt. Colleen Shipman about former space shuttle pilot Bill Oefelein, a Navy commander.
