Peres: Iranian Warships A Provocation, Not A Threat -- Jerusalem Post

President tells audience of Spanish diplomats and opinion makers that Europe is also in danger from Tehran's nuclear program.


The Iranian Navy warships that crossed the Suez Canal are more of a provocation than a threat, President Shimon Peres told a gathering of close to 400 editors, diplomats and opinion makers at a morning briefing in Madrid on Wednesday.

Peres is on a state visit to Spain within the framework of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and Israel.

My Comment: Perez is right .... this is just a cheap provocation. But it portends to a future that should not make countries in the Mediterranean comfortable with what is happening.
