Russian Military May Join Fight In Afghanistan; France To Pull Out In 2011 -- New York Daily News

The Russians are coming! Well, maybe.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will attend a NATO summit in November to discuss the possibility of the Russian military joining the United States and NATO forces in the war in Afghanistan, The Guardian reports.

If Medvedev decides to send troops, it would be the first time Russian forces set foot in the war-torn nation since the Soviets were driven out by American-financed mujahideen fighters in 1989.
