Al Qaeda Group Claims Bombing Attempt -- Wall Street Journal

President Obama Outlines Steps Government Taking to Keep Travelers Safe

A branch of al Qaeda said Monday that it provided the Nigerian suspect accused of attempting to blow up a Detroit-bound jet on Christmas Day with "a technically advanced device."

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama said the administration is doing everything in its power to keep fliers safe and thwart potential terrorist threats.
