Another Israel - Hamas Conflict In The Works?

Israel's Cease-Fire with Hamas: Close to Snapping? -- Time Magazine

On Sunday, as Israel prepared for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli security at the al-Haram al-Sharif compound, which houses the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, in East Jerusalem, reportedly after "immodestly dressed" tourists entered the compound, the third holiest site in Islam. The outrage had repercussions in the Gaza Strip, where the Islamist Hamas government called for fresh demonstrations against Israel.

My Comment: The Israeli - Palestinian conflict has never disappeared. It has (and is) percolating below the surface. What makes the present situation poisonous and dangerous, is that Hamas in the Gaza Strip has failed miserably in bringing any semblance of a normal life for its people. Sanctions, a closed border, and a heavy dependence on foreign aid has created a dismal and dying society whose sole function is to now prepare itself for the next war.

In answer to Time Magazine's question .... Israel's Cease-Fire with Hamas: Close to Snapping? .... my answer .... what cease-fire?
