Pentagon Officials Toured Brigs At Pendleton,
Miramar -- Sign On San Diego

Pentagon officials have toured the brig at Camp Pendleton as they consider moving Guantanamo Bay detainees there, to the prison at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station and to other facilities, a local congressman said Monday.

Rep. Duncan D. Hunter, R-Lakeside, said Marine commanders told him about the Dec. 11 inspection. The freshman congressman, who served combat duty in Iraq and Afghanistan before leaving the Marine Corps in December 2007, has introduced a bill barring the transfer of alleged terrorists from Guantanamo to San Diego County.

He criticized President Barack Obama's administration for what he called a lack of transparency in its decision-making.

My Comment: Stories are now being leaked on where Guantanamo's inmates are going. Will this make local residents upset .... hmmmm .... yes.
