Church Of Scotland Churchman: Soldiers Who Kill The Enemy Should Not Be Awarded Medals
Soldiers who kill their enemy on the battlefield should not be awarded medals, a leading Scottish churchman has said.
The Rev Ian Galloway caused uproar when he told MSPs it was “terrible” that troops be honoured for killing others and blamed the British “values system”.
Former servicemen said they were appalled by the comments, arguing they displayed a complete lack of understanding that medals recognise extreme bravery.

My Comment: Another example on how out of touch some in the church are now becoming when it comes to the conflicts that we are fighting today.
