West Bank Construction Freeze Ends -- L.A. Times

Jewish settlers celebrate, but Palestinians have not indicated they will walk out of intense peace talks.

Reporting from Jerusalem — Israel's partial moratorium on West Bank construction expired late Sunday without a compromise aimed at keeping Palestinians from quitting recently relaunched Mideast peace talks.

But intense negotiations under American mediation continued Sunday night and Palestinians gave no sign that a walkout was imminent.

My Comment: This peace process is going nowhere .... both sides have staked their position, but with an ineffective mediator (i.e. the U.S.), I predict that these talks (like all others before) will collapse by the end of this year.
