The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) operates two Boeing 737 Peace Eye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft and 52 F-15K Slam Eagle fighter jets.
Additional two Boeing 737 Peace Eye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft and 8 F-15K Slam Eagle fighter jets will be delivered to the ROKAF by the United States by the end of this year.
United States has offered to sell Boeing F-15SE Silent Eagle with reduce radar cross-section (RCS) and conformal weapons bays (CWB) to the ROKAF for third phase of the F-X fighter program.
Boeing 737 AEW&C is equipped with the Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar which has the capability to track over 3,000 targets from a distance of over 400 kilometers.
The F-15K Slam Eagle has an operational radius of around 1,800 kilometers and it can carry a combination of upto eight AIM-9X Sidewinder and AIM-120 AMRAAM air to air missiles for air defense role. It can carry a maximum payload of 10,400 kg.
