Not a lot of captains get the vice president of the United States to preside at their military retirement ceremony.
But that's what happened Thursday as Joe Biden helped Navy Capt. Mark Kelly set sail into retirement after 25 years working for the Navy and for NASA as an astronaut.
The 47-year-old Kelly flew 39 combat missions in the Gulf War and joined the astronaut corps in 1996.

My Comment: Is is rumored that David Petraeus leans Republican .... but this is all moot. Gabrielle Giffords, is THAT Democratic congresswoman who was wounded last year in the Tuscon shooting, and since Navy Capt. Mark Kelly is her husband .... she was also there.
