Military Preps for Hurricane Irene -- Military.com
Hurricane Irene is bearing down on the east coast, and the U.S. military is taking steps to ensure warfighting assets are out of Mother Nature's way. The Navy is moving ships out to sea and prepping aircraft to move inland, and the Air Force has already evacuated aircraft from at least one vulnerable North Carolina base. At the same time all services are warning members and families to prepare for the worst.
