Ministry of Defence chiefs wasted £110million of taxpayers' money last year including £1.7million in a legal row over furniture and £1million repairing damage after a warhead crashed.



The details emerged deep in the MoD's accounts submitted to the National Audit Office for 2010/11 in June and come as it is battling big budget cuts.



Following the Strategic Defence Review the MoD has been forced to slash its £34billion budget by eight per cent losing 17,000 personnel.
