Awesome Video Of U.S. Navy Pilot Flying F-18 Fighter Jet

Thrilling Video of Pilot Flying F-18 Fighter Jet -- Trending Now/Yahoo News

How awesome would it be to sit at the gears of a fighter jet and see the world from tens of thousands of feet above ground at speeds of hundreds of miles per hour? Most of us will never get the opportunity to fly a fighter jet, of course, but worry not, you can now experience the view.

A new YouTube video uploaded by a Navy pilot gives viewers a firsthand experience inside the cockpit of an F-18 Super Hornet -- no rigorous training required. The video was uploaded by YouTube user Sir Francis 92, whose nickname matches the name on the pilot's helmet. It documents an entire flight from takeoff to landing from the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Welcome Home, Dad! Moment Six-Year-Old Boy With Cerebral Palsy Surprises Marine Father When He WALKS To Him For First Time -- Daily Mail

A U.S. Marine got the gift of a lifetime when he returned from Afghanistan to find that his son Michael, 6, had learned to walk.

The heartwarming event was recorded as it unfolded in a North Carolina school gymnasium, as Staff Sgt. Jeremy Cooney believed his son's cerebral palsy would keep him from being able to move without assistance for his entire life.

A Tribute To Those Lost In RC-E During The Spring 2011 Offensive

Filling the Gap: A Tribute To Those Lost In RC-E During The Spring 2011 Offensive -- Small Wars Journal

This video, and the footage contained in it, is courtesy of Doc Brit Jacobs. Doc was 3rd Platoon's medic, and was able to have his camera out for much of the fighting. Cougar Company was tasked with seizing and clearing the town of Sarwobay, Afghanistan. 10 km from the Pakistan border, and a known Taliban stronghold. Cougar company air assaulted into the town, and immediately made contact with the enemy. The soldiers of Cougar company, with less than 50 infantrymen on the ground, were surrounded by 150 hardened Taliban fighters. Strong Eagle III was originally planned to take only 3 days...it turned into a 9 day battle against the enemy and the terrain. In the end, we lost 6 brothers within Task Force NO SLACK. 4 of our fallen were Cougars. We will never forget SSG Frank Adamski, SSG Bryan Burgess, SPC Dustin Feldhaus, and PFC Jeremy Faulkner. Thanks to Doc Jacobs for helping us tell our story.
