A Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out

Kristin Beck, formerly Chris, penned her story of going from an elite Navy SEAL to a woman in the book "Warrior Princess." ("Warrior Princess"/Advanced Press)

Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out -- ABC News

A former member of the elite U.S. Navy SEALs has come out to say she's now a woman.

Kristin Beck, formerly Chris, served 20 years as a SEAL and fought on some of the most dangerous battlefields in the world, but after she left the service she realized she wasn't living the life she wanted.

"Chris really wanted to be a girl and felt that she was a girl and consolidated that identity very early on in childhood," said Anne Speckhard, co-author of Beck's biography "Warrior Princess," which was published over the weekend. Speckhard told ABC News Beck suppressed that secret for decades, however, through the trials of SEAL training and the harrowing missions that followed, growing a burly beard as she fought on the front lines of American special operations.

US Navy SEALs’ Families Blame The White House For The 2011 Afghan Mission That Killed Their Sons

SEALs’ Families Hit 2011 Afghan Mission In Which Sons Were Killed; Deem Probe A Cover-Up -- Washington Times

The families of Navy SEALs killed in an August 2011 shoot-down of a helicopter in Afghanistan came forward Thursday to blast the U.S. command and the Obama administration for the mission itself and for an official investigation they deemed a cover-up.

During a news conference at the National Press Club in Washington, they said the Chinook helicopter had no gunship escort and no cover when it was attempting to land during a nighttime Taliban incursion. Insurgents on a roof top shot it down with a rocket-propelled grenade.

All 38 onboard died in the fiery crash including 17 SEALs, making it one of the elite unit’s worst losses in combat.

Did The U.S. Military Invite A Muslim Cleric To Pray For Our Fallen US Navy SEALS But Instead He Damns Them In Arabic?

Families Say Muslim Cleric Disparaged Dead Navy SEALS At Their Own Funeral -- Daily Caller

Relatives of Navy SEALs who died when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan in August 2011 spoke at a press conference Thursday to condemn the Obama administration and claim that the U.S. military presented a Muslim cleric at the dead SEALs’ funeral who disparaged “sinners and infidels who are fodder for the hell fire.”

FreedomWatch president Larry Klayman, the attorney representing the families, claimed at the press conference, which Republican Rep. Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota and former Florida Republican Rep. Allen West also attended, that the U.S. military presented an anti-American speaker at the SEALs’ 2011 funeral.

Update: Report: Muslim cleric invited to pray over fallen SEALs damns them during service -- Washington Times

My Comment: If true .... unbelievable. Here is the cleric’s curse on these fallen SEALs (from above video).

Amen. I shelter in Allah from the devil who has been cast with stones.
In the name of Allah the merciful forgiver.
The companions of “THE FIRE”
(The sinners and infidels who are fodder for the hell fire)
ARE NOT EQUAL WITH the companions of heaven.
The companions of heaven (Muslims) are the WINNERS.
Had he sent this Koran to the mountain, you would have seen the mountain prostrated in fear of Allah.
(Mocking the GOD of Moses)
Such examples are what we present to the people, so that they would think.
(repent and convert to Islam)
Blessings are to your God (Allah) the God of glory and what they describe.
And peace be upon the messengers (prophets) and thanks be to Allah the lord of both universes (mankind and Jinn).

The US Navy SEALs' Crumbling Code of Secrecy

The Navy SEALs Break Their Silence -- Stayton Bonner, Men's Journal

How the elite special-operations force went from top secret – to out of control.

Founded in 1962, the Navy SEALs have long presented an irresistible conflict of interest for the military.

For tactical purposes, the Navy attempts to maintain the unit's secrecy – it rarely even acknowledges the existence of the covert SEAL Team Six – while simultaneously promoting the SEALs' mystique to boost recruitment numbers. In 2005, the SEALs adopted a 440-word code of secrecy stating: "I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions," a pledge that the Navy itself broke soon thereafter. Just over a year later, in an effort to meet an enlistment goal of increasing recruitment numbers by 15 percent, the Navy's in-house media arm began courting Hollywood producers. The resulting film, 2012's 'Act of Valor' – a work of fiction starring real SEALs who were tasked by the Navy to perform – made $80 million, was promoted in a Super Bowl ad, and its footage later used to train recruits.

Secret History Of The Navy SEALS

Secret History Of The Navy SEALS: Intimate Photographs That Reveal Life Inside The World Of America's Most Elite Warriors -- Daily Mail

At the bottom of a swimming pool a group of men voluntarily sink with their hands bound behind their backs after instructed to reach their face masks on the floor using only their teeth.

There appears little struggle as the men calmly work to complete their task before the next one is issued, most likely making their challenge even harder, but all in a day's training.

These are the United States' unsung heroes, the Navy SEALS, an exclusive band of about 2,400 special operators most famously responsible for the 2011 midnight raid that led to the capture of Osama bin Laden.

Navy SEALs Are Coming Out Of The Shadows

Former Navy SEAL On Military's Top Secret Unit Coming Out Of The Shadows -- ABC News

It used to be that Navy SEALs didn't just operate in the shadows. They trained in them too. Their whole story stayed shrouded in mystery. Their secret missions stayed secret to the rest of us.

But when they got Osama Bin Laden, snatched back an American cargo ship taken by pirates and rescued two air workers held hostage in Somalia, then suddenly, it seemed that SEALs were headline-makers.

Add to that some SEALs wrote books about SEAL adventures and even acted in a movie about the SEAL experience using live ammunition when they made "Act of Valor." They can't quite be called "the military unit that no one ever talked about" any longer.

Are The US Navy SEALS Being Politicized

Pentagon Pursues Political Agenda With Navy SEALS, Critics Say -- Washington Times

The Navy’s special warfare command granted permission for two SEALs to advise filmmakers for an upcoming movie about a doomed commando mission in Afghanistan.

The Hollywood job came at about the same time the Navy punished several SEAL Team Six members for sharing purported classified information as consultants for the development of a video game.

To some in the military community, the Pentagon’s split personality is sending mixed signals to the troops.

Special operations commanders and some members of the Obama administration are courting the media with details on secret missions, such as the 2011 SEAL raid that killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, to fit a political or public relations agenda, critics say.

Ex-SEAL's Comrades Say He Decked Jesse Ventura 6 Years Ago In A Bar Fight

Ex-SEAL's Pals Say He Decked Jesse Ventura 6 Years Ago -- Star Tribune

The former governor is suing the author of American Sniper over his description of a bar fight that allegedly erupted during the wake for a former SEAL.

If former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura didn't like what Navy SEAL Chris Kyle wrote about him in his memoir, "American Sniper," he's going to positively hate what five fellow SEALs -- and the mothers of two of their fallen comrades -- have to say about him.

Kyle's friends and associates have rallied to his defense in a defamation lawsuit Ventura filed in Hennepin County in January. Ventura, whose real name is James Janos, sued over Kyle's portrayal of a bar fight he claims they had six years ago in Coronado, Calif.

US Navy SEALS Criticize The Obama Campaign For Being Used In Their Campaign Advertising

SEALs Slam Obama For Using Them As 'Ammunition' In Bid To Take Credit For bin Laden Killing During Election Campaign -- Daily Mail

Serving and former US Navy SEALs have slammed President Barack Obama for taking the credit for killing Osama bin Laden and accused him of using Special Forces operators as ‘ammunition’ for his re-election campaign.

The SEALs spoke out to MailOnline after the Obama campaign released an ad entitled ‘One Chance’.

In it President Bill Clinton is featured saying that Mr Obama took ‘the harder and the more honourable path’ in ordering that bin Laden be killed. The words ‘Which path would Mitt Romney have taken?’ are then displayed.

Questions Being Raised On The Fatal Afghan Mission That Killed 22 Navy SEALS

Full Story Of SEAL Mission In Question -- Washington Times

Report clears commanders.

By the time the CH-47 transport helicopter descended to 150 feet above an unprotected landing zone in Afghanistan around 2 a.m. on Aug. 6, the element of surprise had been lost.

Hours earlier, two other Chinooks had deposited 47 Army Rangers at another nearby landing site, undetected. The landing triggered a nighttime ground and aerial firefight that raged for several hours as a few Taliban “squirters,” as the military called them, tried to escape from the targeted compound and regrouped with other fighters.

My Comment: Of course .... the commanders were cleared. Bottom line .... scores of U.S. Navy seals were killed .... bad luck .... let's move on.
