Deadly Bombings Hit Southern India City -- New York Times

NEW DELHI — Two bombs planted on bicycles killed at least 11 people and wounded 50 in a busy shopping district in the southern India city of Hyderabad at the height of rush hour Thursday night in what officials said may have been a coordinated attack.

Sushil Kumar Shinde, India’s home affairs minister, told journalists in New Delhi that the bicycles had been 150 meters away from each other at the time of the explosions in the Dilsukh Nagar neighborhood, which happened about 10 minutes apart, killing eight at one site and three at the other. The neighborhood is packed with shops, restaurants, theaters and a huge produce market.

Terror Blast At Delhi High Court; 11 Killed, Over 80 Injured -- India Today

Terror struck Delhi when a powerful bomb placed in a briefcase ripped through a crowded reception area at the entrance of the Delhi High Court on Wednesday morning, killing 11 people and leaving more than 80 injured. This is the second blast outside Delhi HC since May.

The blast occurred around 10:15 am outside Gate Number 5 close to the reception area where visitors had lined up for entry passes.

A group by the name Harkat-ul-Jihad claimed responsibility for the blast. The mail claimed that the blast was carried out to demand repeal of death sentence of Afzal Guru, a condemned prisoner in 2001 Parliament attack.

Mumbai: Three explosions have taken place in Mumbai on Wednesday evening - two in South Mumbai at Opera House and in Zaveri Bazar and one at Dadar West, in central Mumbai. The Home Ministry has confirmed a terrorist attack and Mumbai is on high alert.

All blasts took place during rush hour and in crowded places.

Eight Die In India's First Big Attack Since Mumbai -- Reuters

PUNE, India (Reuters) - A bomb ripped through a packed restaurant in the Indian city of Pune on Saturday, killing at least eight people including one foreigner in the country's first big attack since the 2008 Mumbai massacre.

The explosion comes only a day after India and Pakistan agreed to meet for high-level talks in New Delhi on February 25. New Delhi suspended a four-year-old peace process with Islamabad after the Mumbai attacks, blamed on Pakistani-based militants.

Police said the bomb was hidden in a bag left in the German Bakery restaurant, a favorite of Jewish and European visitors, when it was full of tourists on Saturday evening.

My Comment: This attack is occurring only a week and a half away from the India-Pakistan peace summit. Hmmmm .... a cynical person would say that someone does not want this to happen.
