General Strike And Riots In Greece Over Anti-Austerity measures



Tens of Thousands March Through Athens -- Wall Street Journal

ATHENS—Tens of thousands of Greeks took to the streets of Athens Thursday, demanding the Greek government call off plans to appease international creditors with more spending cuts and tax increases.

Many of the demonstrators held banners imploring the government to "Sacrifice the capital funds of the European Union and International Monetary Fund, not the people" and "Stop the measures driving us into poverty."
